The Black Resource & Travelers Guide is a cultural, travel, lifestyle, empowerment magazine and media source reimagined from Yalik's Media and Entertainment Initiative, available in both online and print founded in 2026, in the greater Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. Our chief visionary holds ideas to bridge the gap between local heritage and modern explorative experiences in travel. Our mission is to provide a curated, essential resource for the Black community in North Carolina. With an original focus on highlighting the vibrant neighborhoods, historic landmarks, heritage landscapes and cultural gems that define our region, ensuring that every traveler and resident has access to the authentic stories and resources that make our Triad community unique.

Yalik's African American Art and Cultural Movement has experienced significant growth in our hybrid teams by adding contributors, media personalities and influencers, and a lifestyle collaboration with SiSters 336 Collective via SiSters Welcome High Point Women(SWHPW). Over the past years we have featured iconic stories such as The March on the All American City and The Book of Ancestry, Forgotten Ones of Oakwood Cemetery.

 

As growth continues, The Black Resource & Travelers Guide will continue the mission of serving our community through Art, Culture, Travel and to honor the untold stories through our history and preservation model. The Black Resource and Travelers Guide utilizes positive media and storytelling to create new narratives and mindsets around Black people, their communities and the businesses and organizations they lead. Aside from being the creative curator with the founding organization Yalik's AAACM, we act as a PR and Media relations entity providing a broader and realistic view to our citizens and business owners.
